 A Family Support Worker provides face-to-face assistance, coaching, teaching, and positive role modeling in the family home or community-based setting to help maintain and strengthen family life. They offer practical and emotional support to families facing challenges, helping to improve overall wellbeing and stability. Family Support Workers also connect families with community resources and services and advocate on their behalf to ensure they receive appropriate support.

Requirements for the position include:

•  Bachelor's Degree or a high school diploma AND two (2) years of job-related experience to be the equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Smart phone, personal computer and reliable vehicle for transportation required.
• A background check and motor vehicle record check are also requirements for the position.
• Full-time/Part-time positions are available. Working mornings, nights, and weekends is a part of the position. Work schedules are flexible. 
• McConaughy Discovery Center serves the Nebraska Child and Family Services area with major cities including Lincoln, Nebraska City, Lexington, North Platte, Ogallala, Omaha, Sidney, Scottsbluff, Gering, and Chadron.
